Thank you, Susan, for the interesting prompt as well
- Leo.
very profound and interesting haiku..death the great leveller divides us by life.
‘omnia mors vincit’ means death conquers all…great design if you are considering a tatoo
Thank you, RT.
glad you felt it was interesting. No, no. No tattoo, thank you
- Leo.
Fallen, therefore equal. Ironic and lovely!
Sort of ironic
Thanks, Susan
- Leo.
Beautiful thought!
Equals indeed…
Thank you, Pranita.

Awesome.. Leo..extraordinary….but then I wondered where were the soul who had risen.. is there another sky..beyond….oh, you got me thinking….perhaps ..in some way my haiku talks about it..about another sky…. hope you will enjoy.. RS:)
I shall come by soon, RSji. Cheers!
- Leo.
Excellent.. I got a similar idea while writing my haiku for the prompt, but I couldn’t put it in words..
You can try again later maybe, Purple Mist
Thanks!
- Leo.

Thank you, Jaskiran!

Now wonder how to troll someone with that poem…hmmm…..challenge accepted
Troll someone with my poem? Whatever for?
- Leo.
The challenge is fun. The expression is priceless. And you did good work, I’m just finding a me centric mod for it
Glad you liked my work, Wuzzman.
Please don’t use it verbatim to troll.
- Leo.
Well I already trolled by declaring to troll so troll quota reached
And I’m confused.
- Leo.
I know
Hmmm. Have a lovely Sunday, Wuzzman!
- Leo.
you too LeOOO
Thanks!
- Leo.
Wonderful poem. I’ve never heard that expression before, but it certainly is true. I’m so glad you’ve shared it.
Yes, it is quite true I feel too, Teresa. Thanks very much for reading
- Leo.
“Fallen souls” – exquisite
Falling stars burn brightly, changing energy as they fall
Lovely layering
Thank you, Judith! (and Max
)
Glad you liked it.
- Leo.
Beautiful Leo… these wise words of your haiku…
Thanks, Lea!
Glad you felt so.
- Leo.
Yes, we are equals in principle though society unfortunately doesn’t always treat us as such. Great message here. I would say this is a senryu since it speaks to emotions rathern than nature. Have a great day (or what time is it in India?)
Thanks, Loredana.
I suppose its more senryu, but a hint of haiku in it
Cheers! (It was 2 in them morning when you commented!
)
- Leo.
The eternal truth of life and death… you penned it down very beautifully, Leo
Thanks, Arti
Glad you liked my haiku.
- Leo.
Cool!
” Fallen skies
that spread the screen wide
Earth Blanket ”
PS: somehow your poetry inspired me to write one here, Yes,I meant here
Loved that, Uma
Thanks!
- Leo.
nice…i really like you play on that truth…and for a moment we shine…smiles.
Thank you, Brian. We do shine for a moment, yes.!
- Leo.
I have not seen this idea delivered in such beautiful simplicity. The power lies in what remains unsaid, and you tackle prejudice with the common sense that seems to be missing in all our vital places. Bravo, Poet…this is brilliant!
Thank you for finding my poetry to be good, Natasha. Glad you liked it
- Leo.
I love how they rise to shine! This is pure clarity in brevity!
Thanks, K! Glad you liked it
- Leo.
Pensive indeed. I have never heard of the saying before – I was aware of the fact that we live and die alone but not the equality nor the separated by life bit.
That’s another truth perhaps, Clarice! The living and dying alone. But if we were all born alike, then it is how we traveled our life that separates us, is it not?
- Leo.
Beautiful, and the most perfect truth.
Thanks, Leah! Glad you felt so. Cheers!
- Leo.
such purity of everything natural expressed in few lines.
Thank you very much, Yelena! Glad you liked it
- Leo.
Beautiful, indeed!
Thanks, Mohana!

- Leo.
Actually your poetry here astounds me. For a minute, I was lost for words. Beautifully crafted.
Thank you, Ninot! I’m glad you found it to be beautifully crafted. Cheers!
- Leo.
As always Leo, you hit a very universal thought in a particularly beautiful, unique and insightful way. We are indeed indissolubly linked.
PS. The trick to writing a pantoum, since you mentioned it at my place, for me is writing a bunch of rhyming couplets as foundation…because really that’s all they are–it’s the positioning where the form really makes you think. Anyway–it’s one of my favorites to play with–I think you’d do it well.
Thank you, Joy! Yes, it is universal I suppose. It’s one that has intrigued me at times.
It’s not the foundation that worries me, but my own laziness perhaps
Regards the pantoum, I am going to try it tonight
- Leo.
yep..death def. equals again…
Indeed it does, Claudia.
Thanks.
- Leo.
