It’s been one of those days when nothing’s really gone my way! A time when I’ve felt sort of low, and then sort of high with those lows too, and playing with me, some thoughts I do not know from where they crop up! One of my friends told that I should write it out in a blog post, as that always helps, but I cannot write what I do not know! I did try to, but in the end, I only could be silent. Going through my diary, I found a poem that was once written in such a mood, and inspired by a line said by my friend Kirti. I share with you this verse today.
there is no freedom
for my muse to fly today
when future seems
so much like yesterdays
there are no beats
melancholic heart feels
there is no moment
that my dream can steal
there is no story
in my eyes that are blind
there are no words
to lessen the tears I find
there is no voice
in a heart that consoles
there is no life
in the breath of my soul

Life seems to have those cycles of up and down….seems worse when we attempt to give meaning to random events…peace be with you.
Martin: Too many of those damned cycles! But I guess, that’s part of balance in life maybe. I hope to find that peace too! Thanks!
This was one of the most beautiful pieces I’ve ever read! And your honesty of your feelings show bravery.
~L~: Thanks! It’s a moment that happens once a while, but it hits harder than other moments I guess!
dang sounds like a hard place to be leo…i hope that some sunshine finds your patch of grass today man…
Brian: Yes it is! But thankfully, sunshine does come! Thanks for the support!
oh i know those melancholic moments well…nicely captured..and always a good reason to get poetic…smiles
Claudia: Yes of course, a good reason!
Glad you felt it was nicely captured. Putting it out has helped!
And still, you managed to turn it all into a beautiful poem….
Kelly: Yes, thankfully, and it eased a burden on my heart and mind!
love the raw intimacy of this. thank you for allowing us to become closer. the best work comes in these times…in my opinion. much love to you.
Kellie:
Yeah, melancholy is most inspiring for a poet!
Like I said, putting it out has helped!
Cheers, and thanks for the love!
Well done! Yes, days like these indeed.
The Linnet: Thank you!
I do like the repetition here. Works really well, and beautifully reinforces the poems meaning.
Great write here.
SkyraftWanderer: Thank you
Glad you liked it & felt the repetition worked!
Oh, what a fantastic job you did summing up and poeticizing that feeling that we all feel on occasions. Really like the idea of turning your lack of inspiration into your inspiration. Great write. Thanks
Poetical Psyche:
Too many can relate to that feeling, eh?
Glad you liked it and felt it to be great! Cheers!
