Time turner..

tick-tock tick-tock, the clock hands echo
oh how I wish time could stand still
just for now, for few moments
so I can breathe freedom
from life’s old shackles
feel the cool air
once again
on my
mind-
on my
muse echo
the still silence
whisper its old tales
but alas, it moves swift
to gather more tales from far
my life flies with it, tied up tight
staying still only when hourglass turns

November PAD Challenge Day 11. #novpad11

The month of November sees the Poem-a-Day (PAD) challenge, hosted by Robert Lee Brewer at Poetic Asides. Day 11 theme is to write a poem based on math or numbers. I decided to write a cascaded nonet/reverse nonet poem. In the form, the series in the nonet runs syllabically from 9 to 1, and keeping the last line as first line of the reverse nonet, going from 1 to 9 syllabically. Thanks Robert for the inspiration.
OSI #194

One Single Impression, hosted by Andree Reno Sanborn and Sandy Carlson, is a weekly poetry meme that comes out on Sundays. The prompt offered there this coming Sunday is their 194th overall, Hourglass.

Excellently done!! Love the concept of the hour glass… And Yes, time does fly by…My favorite things in life don't cost any money. It's really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time.Steve Jobs
